[Six Springfield-area students, teachers Mary Wrobleski and Donna Kucinski, and paraprofessional Sue Woods worked on this project.]
From Mary and Sue:
We both work at Forest Park Middle School and think our students are great. We wanted to showcase the importance of education in our city. Our students designed murals showing the great variety of education options available to them, and this design was adapted from those murals. Our school is slated to be renovated next year. This was a way to preserve the murals. Art is very important because it allows people to express themselves and their culture. It communicates what is important to them.
Students:
It was a great way to be involved and it was fun to do.
